Student and Auxiliary Services

Student and Auxiliary Services (SAS) is a self-supporting auxiliary unit within Student Affairs. SAS’s goal is to provide services to students at the lowest cost possible. SAS includes the following, among other services and facilities:

  • The Missouri Unions: Brady Commons, Memorial Union and the new student center under construction.
  • The MU Student Parent Center, a state-licensed full-service facility offering flexible child-care services to student parents.
  • The University BookStores, including University Bookstore, TigerTech and other related stores.

Student Affairs in a sentence

  • The new student center will go “trayless,” saving on chemicals and water and reducing the use of petroleum products.
  • The new student center will feature on-site roasting of coffee from beans purchased from fair trade and/or organic suppliers.
  • The University BookStores have been ranked nationally in sales and in number of used books available to students.
  • The Student Parent Center, which offers day care to student parents, serves as many as 80 families.
