World boxing champion Laila Ali ignites Mizzou spirit of healthy living, community

Christian Bryant and Laila Ali

KOMU anchor Christian Bryant, MA '13, moderated a Q&A session with Laila Ali during the Mizzou Training Table event Feb. 24, 2015, in Plaza 900.

MizzouRec and MU Campus Dining Services partnered to host Laila Ali at the inaugural Mizzou Training Table event Feb. 24, 2015. Daughter of boxing legend Mohammad Ali, Laila has four world titles under her belt, and since her retirement in 2007, has become a champion of healthy lifestyles, traveling around the country to speak on the topics of nutrition and fitness.

The Mizzou Training Table was created to provide an extraordinary student experience. Using a food, sport, health and activity-in-culture theme combined with an emphasis on good nutrition, the program seeks to underscore the common bond all people share through positive living, physical activity and food.
