Parents Fund
Funds raised through the Mizzou Parents Fund help support essential programs across campus — programs offered through the Counseling Center and the Wellness Resource Center, service and leadership development programs, Mizzou After Dark programming, STRIPES (MU’s safe driving program) — as well as guest speakers and lecturers covering a variety of topics.
You may be asking why, if you are already paying tuition, you should give to the Parents Fund. Although tuition and state money provide part of the university’s operating budget, the university always has more needs than those two sources can meet.
You also can get involved as a member of the Parents Development Council, which works directly with Student Affairs to support a vibrant and successful program of parent giving. The council consists of parents of current Mizzou students and parents of alumni who are committed to enhancing the Mizzou student experience.
More than 2,000 parents contribute to the Parents Fund annually. Gifts of all sizes make a difference. The Parents Fund directly affects the university’s most valuable asset — our students.
To Mizzou parents, from Mizzou parents

As parents, we want to feel good about our kids’ school, whether a son or daughter is a current student or a graduate. Parents who have the capacity to give money to MU want to do it because it helps them feel closer to the school and provide something that will improve the education of their children and others.
Your giving can make a real difference in raising the profile of MU and improving its programs.
We hope our involvement with the Parents Development Council will enable other excited, committed parents to share their excitement with friends and others in their communities and generate more interest in Mizzou.
We encourage you to support Mizzou with an annual gift to the Parents Fund. Your gift — every gift — will make a difference to our kids and the experience they have at Mizzou.
Thank you,
John and Beth Jostrand
