Counseling Center

Mizzou’s Counseling Center provides clinical services and outreach designed to help students thrive.

The center’s staff — including licensed psychologists, psychological residents, interns, and master’s and doctoral students — assists students in learning strategies to manage life challenges and difficult emotions that may impact social or academic success. Services include group and individual therapy, crisis intervention, consultation, outreach and prevention. We offer a variety of resources to help students through challenges such as, but not limited to, homesickness, sexual assault, identity, college adjustment, acculturation, oppression, depression and anxiety.

The Counseling Center’s crisis intervention team assists faculty, staff, students and parents who are concerned about an MU student. Please feel free to contact the Counseling Center’s on-call therapist for consultation. We can help you effectively approach the student, offer support, and/or direct the student to appropriate mental health resources on campus. During business hours call or come in to the center for crisis services or consultation. After-hours crisis support is available by calling our office at 573-882-6601.
