The Parents Fund help support essential programs across campus, including: programs offered through the Counseling Center and the Wellness Resource Center; service and leadership development programs; Mizzou After Dark; STRIPES (MU’s safe driving program); sustainablility; the Office of Parent Relations; and guest speakers and lecturers covering a variety of topics.
Members of the Parent Leadership Council work directly with the Office of Advancement for Student Affairs to support a vibrant and successful program of parent giving. The council consists of parents of current Mizzou students who are committed to enhancing the Mizzou student experience for all MU students.
More than 1,000 families contribute to the Parents Fund annually. Gifts of all sizes make a difference and help impact the university’s most valuable asset — our students.
To Mizzou parents, from Mizzou parents
Our 175th birthday, a tremendous new Chancellor, the most diversified freshman class ever, the largest student body in University of Missouri history, graduation rates far exceeding National and State averages, Women’s SEC Championship Volleyball team and a Citrus Bowl victory —what an exciting time to be a Tiger!
State funding and tuition payments support the essential functions of Mizzou, however, there are many programs which are made possible only through the generous contributions to the Parents Fund. As Mizzou parents, we have seen our two daughters benefit directly from many of these essential programs and services.
We understand the financial stress that tuition and expenses for one or more students places on a family. We also appreciate the role of contributing to the Parents Fund which positively impacts our children’s experience while attending Mizzou. Every dollar you contribute goes directly to these programs and services.
On behalf of the Parents Fund, we ask that you consider making a gift so our students can continue to experience the full benefits of our great university.
