Support for students impacted by Hurricane Ida

Mizzou can help with a variety of support and resources.

From the desk of Bill Stackman, vice chancellor for student affairs

Like many of you, I spent much of the weekend following news updates about Hurricane Ida. The extent of the disruption caused by Hurricane Ida, and how long it will persist, is still unclear. We understand that such disasters present real difficulties even for those not living in the affected areas.

Some of you may have family who have been displaced, whose homes have been damaged, or whose ability to support you has been limited.

Please know that Mizzou is here to help, however you have been affected. If you need support or just someone to talk to, please contact Jeff Zeilenga, Dean of Students, at

Faculty and staff: Please know you can connect with the Dean of Students Office if you have students affected by Hurricane Ida who need support.

Undergraduate students, graduate students and prospective students affected by Hurricane Ida may have access to additional support from the Division of Enrollment Management and the Graduate School, outlined in an email sent Aug. 30.

Student success at Mizzou is important to us, and we want to do what we can to help our students and families deal with these challenging circumstances and continue their educational progress.
