First-year students Maanasa Vollu and Zoë Malik, live in Schurz Hall, a community-style hall, where they are in a freshman interest group for students going into health professions, medicine or other science fields.

They enjoy living in a Residential Life residence hall because it puts them close to MizzouRec, the MU Student Center and their classes.

“Living in a dorm helps form that sense of community,” Vollu said. “It’s another way to get to know people.”
